A Pink Mess

My plans for ‘A Pink Mess’ are to share with you my thoughts on: life, love, faith, me, music, health, politics, sports; you name it, I’m likely to share my opinion on it; in the hopes of being more Pink than Mess.

Please allow me to introduce myself…

I am an image of God; light and love. In the flesh: I am a loving daughter, a lonely sister, a supportive friend, an optimistic pessimist, a confident coward, a compassionate critic, an understanding judge, a graphic daydreamer, a loud talker, a luminous laugher, a sad encourager, a nurturing nag, a spontaneous planner, a sarcastic creep, a graceful klutz, a witty comic, a thoughtful narcissist, a hopeless romantic, a scarred lover, an unemotional ball of emotions.

I am a lover of all things girlie, a sports fan, a softball player, a prideful competitor, an obsessive do-too-much-er, a clean freak, a runner, a people watcher, a hiker, a listener, a talk-over-er, a truth teller, a gaudy Anthropologie addict, a flat shoe fiend, an overindulging saver, a cold-blooded marshmallow.

Until now, I’ve been a creative character who rarely revealed what’s behind my carefully crafted mask.  But now, I hope that through my honesty shared, all my fears, reservations, insecurities and, self-induced strong holds will vanish and, only I will be left standing.  An unashamed, unabashed, unrelenting, unwavering and unapologetic being created in the image and likeness of God – and no thing less. I hope that the lovely light revealed will cause a freeing, infectious, domino effect of love and liberty, for all I know and encounter.
